Day1: Welcome to the Gateway of Northeast-Journey to Dimapur
Our representative will greet you at Guwahati Airport. Begin your scenic drive to Dimapur (295 km / approx. 6 hours). Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. If time permits, explore local attractions like the vibrant Hongkong Market, known for trendy imports.
Overnight stay at Dimapur.

Day 2: Road to Culture Dimapur to Kisama for Hornbill Festival Inauguration
After breakfast, drive to Kisama Village (120 km / approx. 4 hours), witnessing picturesque hills and countryside along the way.
Kisama hosts the vibrant Hornbill Festival, held every December. Witness the grand inauguration day, where 16 Naga tribes and sub-tribes showcase their rich cultural traditions. The village features Morungs, tribal dormitories reflecting unique architectural designs.
Explore handicrafts, traditional cuisine, music, and dances. Entry includes a schedule booklet for the entire 10-day event.
Overnight at a hotel/homestay in Kisama or nearby.

Day 3: Dive into the Culture-Full Day at Hornbill Festival
Spend the entire day immersed in the Hornbill Festival. Enjoy traditional games, musical performances, tribal dances, and a feast of authentic Naga delicacies. Discover and purchase unique Naga handicrafts from various stalls.
Overnight at Kohima or Kisama in a hotel/homestay.

Day 4: Historical Trails-Kohima City & Khonoma Green Village
Explore Kohima, the capital of Nagaland, situated at 1495 m above sea level. Visit the World War II Cemetery at Garrison Hill, the site of the historic Battle of Kohima.
Later, drive to Khonoma Village (20 km), home of the Angami tribe, known as India’s first green village. Learn about their self-sufficient lifestyle, 20 varieties of rice grown via terrace farming, and the 1879 Anglo-Naga resistance.

Day 5: Explore More-Kohima Heritage & Lifestyle
Begin with a visit to the State Museum, featuring tribal artifacts, ancestral weapons, traditional costumes, and cultural displays. Then, explore the handloom & handicraft emporium, a treasure trove of traditional weaves and souvenirs.

Day 6: Community Spirit-Drive to Touphema Tourist Village
After breakfast, head to Touphema Village (40 km / approx. 2 hrs), a community tourism initiative by the Angami tribe. Stay in traditional-style cottages representing 12 khels (clans). Enjoy local rice beer and cuisine prepared in the community kitchen, and engage in cultural exchange.

Day 7: Back to the Plains-Drive to Guwahati
Early morning, begin the return journey to Guwahati. Enjoy the scenic drive through Nagaland and Assam.

Day 8: Spiritual Touch & Sunset Cruise-Explore Guwahati
After breakfast, visit the famous Kamakhya Temple (optional). Spend the afternoon exploring Guwahati’s local markets for souvenirs and Assamese specialties. In the evening, enjoy a relaxing Brahmaputra River cruise.

Day 9: Departure-Goodbye with Cultural Memories
After breakfast, transfer to Guwahati Airport for your onward journey with unforgettable memories of Nagaland's rich culture and hospitality.
