Jorhat-Kaziranga-Cherrapunji

Arrival at Jorhat Airport. Drive to Nimatighat to embark on a ferry for Majuli. Cross the river Brahmaputra. Reach Majuli and check in at Log Hut. Overnight at Majuli.

After breakfast, visit Auniati and Samaguri Sattra (Vaishnavite Monastery), which are famous for mask making. Cross the river Brahmaputra and drive to Kaziranga National Park. Check in at Hotel Borgos/Iora. Overnight at Kaziranga.

Early morning Elephant safari in the central range. After breakfast Jeep Safari in the western range. Drive directly to Shillong. Check in at Ri Kynjai/Taj Vivanta Shillong.

Sightseeing in and around Shillong includes Ward Lake, Elephanta falls, Shillong Peak, and Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Culture (Sunday closed, timing: 9:30 am-3:30 pm). Overnight at Shillong.

After breakfast, drive to Dawki and go river boating there. After lunch, drive to Cherrapunji and check in at Polo Orchid Resort/CHR. Overnight at Cherrapunji.

Sightseeing in and around Cherrapunji includes Mawsmai limestone cave, Nohkalikai falls and Living Root Bridge. Afternoon return back to Shillong for overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive back to Guwahati and check in at Radisson Blue/Novotel. Evening Dinner cruise on the river Brahmaputra. Overnight at Guwahati.

After breakfast, visit Pobitora WLS and take an elephant safari there. After lunch, visit Sualkuchi, the silk Village. Overnight at Guwahati.

After breakfast, visit Kamakhya Temple. Afternoon leisure. You may visit Assam State Museum the Tea Lounge at Guwahati Tea Auction Centre (You may buy authentic Assam Tea here and have a cup of tea!)

Shopping and overnight at KiranShree Grand near Guwahati Airport.
